Halifax Road Improvement Scheme 2026:
We have recently been informed that there will be some roadworks and construction in the vicinity of the club rooms. The main road that runs past the club-rooms will be partially closed in one direction and there will be a diversion in place (A629 phase 2 Halifax Town Centre). Calderdale Council have a informative web-page with this on, link below. This will affect journey time for both members and visitors to our Winter Open day. Welcome to Halifax Model Railway Club LTD.
The club has progressed significantly in the last few years, with the facilities feeling like a model railway club again, with old and new members mixing and helping each other out.
All planned open days are in a poster below, see if you are available to visit and say hello.
Our next open day will be on Sunday 8th February 2026. We hope to see you then! Admission, Cafe and members sale stand are at this time cash only.
Open Day: 10am to 4pm.
Cafe serving Refreshments and confectionery 10am to 4pm, with hot meals served from 12pm to 2pm.
Admission:
Adults £3.50. Children aged 5-18 £1.50
Concessionary £2.50 Family £7.00,
Children under 5 free.
All of the club layouts are having much needed refurbishment and the members are continuing to improve their own layouts as well. We have also finished fitting our kitchen and the Parcel office Cafe is now open to the public. Club sales stand in cafe room subject to availability.
