A selection of photos of members layouts, some may look complete, but a model railway is never finished.

KIRKBY STEPHEN:

KIRKBY STEPHEN WEST: An O Gauge layout that can be ran between the early 1900s to post WW2 British Railways.

Kirkby Stephen station on the Settle and Carlisle Railway is one of the most well known stations in England, completed in May 1876 to the design of the Midland Railway company architect John Holloway Sanders. It was closed between 1970 and 1986 due to the fall in passenger usage. The station however has been completely restored by The Settle and Carlisle Railway Trust in 2009.

HORTON ROYD:

HORTON ROYD: An O gauge layout which has a large island platform with two bays and a large goods yard. This layout acts as a through station in conjuction with KIRKBY STEPHEN WEST.

Bazingafeldon:

BAZINGAFELDON: A DCC 'HO' gauge layout that is can be ran from 2016 to the modern day.

The layout, whilst still under constuction, is set in the suburbs of Basel, Switzerland. The town being in the northwestern part of Switzerland borders Germany and France, allows for a variety of locomotives and rolling stock to be run.

The majority of passenger trains are provided by Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) with Deutsche Bahn (DB) running services from Germany. A variety of freight services pass through, with the main services being provided by SBB, DB, and SNCF (National society of French railroads); however, some other freight operators may be seen.

The layout consits of a large multi platform station with a representation of the local suburbs as the backdrop. At one end of the layout is a heritage centre with numerous preserved locomotives and rolling stock. The fiddle yard is of a double deck constuction to allow a large amount of stock to be run with prototypical elavation changes at either end of the layout, with one being a helix. The trackwork is Peco code 100 and the layout is controlled by a Roco Z21, Lenz interface and Railroad & Co operating system.
